Cookie Policy

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We also use your browser's local storage, which works similarly. This policy lists everything burnlist.app and our partners store and why.

2. Essential storage (always on)

3. Analytics (optional)

The Google tag (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads measurement) loads on every page with all analytics and advertising storage denied by default. Until you choose "Accept all" it does not set analytics or advertising cookies, but it may send limited cookieless pings to Google (which include your IP address and browser information) to measure the site in aggregate. After "Accept all", the cookies listed below may be set.

NameProviderPurposeDuration
_gaGoogle Analytics 4Distinguishes users2 years
_ga_<container id>Google Analytics 4Keeps session state2 years

4. Advertising (optional)

NameProviderPurposeDuration
_gcl_auGoogle Ads tag (google.com)Stores a click identifier used to measure advertising conversionsUp to 3 months

Google AdSense ad scripts are loaded only on public content pages and only after you choose "Accept all", never inside the app. On public pages we show ads through Google AdSense. Only after you choose "Accept all", Google and its partners may set cookies on domains such as google.com, googlesyndication.com and doubleclick.net, for example __gads, __gpi, IDE, DSID and test_cookie, to serve, personalise and measure ads and to limit how often you see the same ad. Typical lifetimes are up to 13 months. Exact names and durations are controlled by Google and may change: see Google cookie types , how Google uses information from sites that use its services and Google Ad Settings .

5. Manage your choice

You can change your analytics and advertising choice at any time.

This clears your stored choice and shows the cookie banner again. Cookies already set by Google remain until they expire or you delete them in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge each have a "clear cookies and site data" option).
